MEET THE INGREDIENTS. 

 Glucosamine HCL (not the less pure Sulphate) with 99% purity.

As one of the major building blocks of cartilage and vital for the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans, it is known to delay the breakdown of cartilage and aid in repairing damage. Extensive studies have shown its effectiveness in relieving pain and can see results in as little as 2 weeks. For maximum efficacy, an equine dose of 6,000 to 11,000 mg/day is recommended, with a higher dose of 10,000 mg/day for horses in training. During the initial treatment period, known as the "loading" phase, it is advised to use the higher dose to achieve a therapeutic level in the horse's system and speed up results.

Chondroitin helps to reduce pain and inflammation, improves joint function and slows the progression of osteoarthritis (OA).

Chondroitin Sulphate is a major structural component of cartilage, bone, and connective tissues.  An effective equine dose is between 1,250 and 5,000 mg/day.

When Glucosamine + Chondroitin are combined recent research is showing superior results for the combination as compared to results when either substance is used alone. KineticFlex Equine contains the full clinical dose of both Glucosamine and Chondroitin.

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM)

MSM is a naturally occurring sulphur compound, one of the major building blocks of glycosaminoglycans found in cartilage and it is an effective anti-inflammatory.

Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
At least 44% Glucuronic Acid level – the highest available
An essential component of cartilage and synovial fluid and acts as a cushion for bones as it resists compression and allows the joints to bear weight and oppose tension.

It is an important component of both the cartilage itself and the joint fluid.

Hyaluronic acid is particularly good for controlling pain, heat, and swelling.  An effective equine dose is between 100 and 200 mg/day.

Vitamin C

Contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of cartilage, as well as the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

An effective equine dose is up to 2,000mg/day.

This is an ingredient where more is not necessarily better.  Excessive amounts may even damage cartilage.

It’s worth noting a horse’s body is capable of manufacturing its own vitamin C.

This is why are levels are carefully balanced. 

Boswellia 

8-1 extract 

Boswellia is a natural and effective herb for horses that can help manage inflammation.  

It is a great addition to our joint supplement as it aids joint movement and mobility, improves comfort; and helps to support joint, ligament and tendon health. 

It has also been reported to be a good digestive aid as it can firm loose droppings, and is particularly good for horses prone to gastric problems.  It can support liver and respiratory health by soothing the respiratory tract and targeting inflammation. Boswellia is safe for consistent long term use, with no reported side effects.
